Each year the Australian Institute of Landscape Designers and Managers (AILDM) recognises design innovation and professionalism among its member designers with the AILDM Landscape Design Awards. In 2009 a record number of entries were submitted for judging by Stuart Pittendrigh and Jennifer Stackhouse.

The Australian Institute of Landscape Designers and Managers (AILDM) is well known throughout Australia as the place to find a landscape designer who can design site specific, environmentally sensitive and beautiful gardens and landscapes.

Jonathan was awarded the national Environmental Landscape Design Award for The Grange in Willowvale (QLD), successfully creating  a quality ennviroment in a subdivision that was connected to the Tamborine National Park in Southern Queensland. A feature of this five-hectare site is the re-vegetation of Hotham Creek with locally significant and state listed protected vegetation.

The Joint Release Water Excellence Awards  | Institute of Public Works Engineering Australia Awards (IPWEA)

Category : Winner - Water Excellence Award


IPWEA Queensland presents awards each year to encourage excellence in the innovation, development, completion and management of local government and public works projects.

Trevean Gardens has became the first development in Australia to receive EnviroDevelopment certification. It attained certification for the ecosystems, waste, water and community elements of EnviroDevelopment. Trevean Gardens incorporates extensive water sensitive urban design principles including grassed swales, rock lined swales and the retention and enhancement of existing native vegetation within the drainage reserve. The development also includes the provision of 10,000 litre underground tanks on each house block which collect stormwater.

Queensland 2008 Landscape Construction Excellence Awards  | The Landscape Australia Exhibition & Conference

"Three impressive gardens adorned the ballroom, giving attendees a first-hand visual of Gala Dinner sponsor ACLH’s SMART Gardening Start Gardening principles. JW Concepts took out the Best Ballroom Garden prize with their garden built by Eureka Landscapes and Katesh Landscape Services."

AILA/QUT Graduate Diploma of Landscape Architecture Student Award  | Australian Institute of Landscape Architects (AILA)

Category : Winner - The Karl Langer Award


Each year the AILA select a student from the QUT Graduate Diploma of Landscape Architecture course as a recipient for the Karl Langer award. This prestigious award is judged by a panel of industry leaders who assess a portfolio of each entrant’s best QUT work and subject the participants to an interview. Selection criteria includes assessment of each students technical and design skills; their graphic, oral and technical presentation skills; their commitment to and aptitude for the profession of Landscape Architecture; and evidence of a sustaining philosophy that will guide their future contributions to the profession.
